Naturopathic Medicine is recognized as a primary health care service and is being supported by most health care plans. Many health care plans are including naturopathic medicine as part of their coverage but it depends upon your specific policy and coverage, so please consult either your insurer or read the details of your specific plan. Additionally, if you do have coverage it would be beneficial to check how much coverage you have (there may be a limit or maximum dollar amount per year or a percentage amount per visit). Also some plans may have a pooled total amount for all extended treatments such as massage, acupuncture, and naturopathic medicine combined, so please make sure and ask if it is not clear. In any case extended plans often include naturopathic medicine so it is worth while to check.
